General 🧭

QWho are The Sweet Rebels?
We are a Belgium-based NGO fighting violence against women and neglect of animals — with inclusion at the core. We act, we cook, we rescue. Two directors (Sylvia & Kristof) lead the work with a small, diverse team and community volunteers.
QAre you officially registered?
Yes. The Sweet Rebels NGO is officially founded on May 8, 2025. First annual summaries will be published starting 2026 (covering activities from 2025). See Transparency & Impact.
QAre you an emergency service?
No. In immediate danger, call 112 (EU) or your local emergency number. We coordinate support where possible and are building a pickup → safe place network, but cannot guarantee 24/7 response. For discreet help: forqueensbyqueens@outlook.be.

Donations 💖

QHow can I donate?
QCan I earmark my donation?
Yes. Add “Women”, “Animals”, or “Inclusion” in your payment reference. We honor designated funds and report totals in annual summaries.
QWhere does the money go, exactly?
Target allocations: Women’s protection (40–50%), Animal rescue (25–35%), Inclusion & jobs (15–25%), lean operations for the rest. We publish ratios in Transparency & Impact.
QDo directors take a salary?
If/when director compensation applies, we list amounts and ratios in the annual summary. Until then: lean and impact-first.
QDo I get a tax receipt?
We’re working toward compliant donation receipts; availability can depend on rules and thresholds. For current status, email sweetrebels.vzw@outlook.be.

Volunteering & Jobs 🧑‍🍳📣

QI have no experience. Can I still help?
Absolutely. We hire and welcome for qualities > papers. Reliable, kind, willing to learn? You’re our kind of rebel. Start here: Volunteer With Us or Work With Us.
QWhat roles exist for volunteers?
Kitchen/event support, outreach & comms, logistics (pickups, supplies), animal fostering/transports, and admin help. Email: volunteer.sweetrebels@outlook.be.
QDo you pay for trial shifts?
Where funding allows, yes — we’re transparent about when it’s paid, when it’s voluntary, and how hours can grow with projects.
QHow do you keep volunteers safe?
Clear roles, buddy system, trauma-aware briefings, and no solo high-risk actions. The pickup network follows screening and safety protocols.

Projects 🐾🎪

QWhat is Paws & People Network?
A global-minded network that links people who care to animals in need — strays, medical cases, rescues. We coordinate fosters, food, vet care, and (in progress) a pickup-to-safe-place option for animals.
QWhen and where does The Peacock’s Circus open?
We’re opening in October at Kortrijksesteenweg 391, Deinze. Not a typical caterer: veggie-forward dishes, bold milkshakes, cocktails & mocktails — our own recipes. Profits fuel our missions.
QCan people with disabilities work with you?
Yes — proudly. We tailor roles, provide mentoring, and build confidence step by step. Inclusion isn’t charity; it’s how we win. See Work With Us.

Safety, Privacy & Pickup → Safe Place 🛡️

QHow does the pickup → safe place network work?
  • Screening: ID check, references, short training, code of conduct.
  • Boundaries: no entry into active danger zones; we coordinate with authorities when needed.
  • Availability: not 24/7 yet; we aim for same-day triage when possible.
Want to join? Email volunteer.sweetrebels@outlook.be.
QIs my data safe if I ask for help?
Yes. We collect the minimum needed, store it securely, and share on a need-to-know basis only. You can request deletion. See Resources & Help.
QWhat if I recant because I’m scared?
Your safety comes first — no judgment. We keep records confidential and help you rebuild a plan when you’re ready.

Partners & Media 🤝🎤

QWe want to partner or sponsor. Where do we start?
Amazing. Email partners.sweetrebels@outlook.be with a short note on who you are and how you’d like to help. We’re open to in-kind support (food, vet care, transport) and funding.
QPress & interviews?
Email subject “PRESS” to sweetrebels.vzw@outlook.be. We can provide logos, bios, and safe-to-share case notes.

Shop & Refunds 👕

QDo you sell Rebel Gear?
Yes. Revenue helps fund actions. Check our shop or the Rebel Gear collection.
QRefunds & exchanges?
See our store policies for timelines and conditions. If something arrives damaged, we’ll make it right — email order number + photos to sweetrebels.vzw@outlook.be.
